Another one of United's development squad will further their footballing education away from Bramall Lane for the remainder of the season.
Jake Bennett, who has impressed for the U23s this season, has penned a loan deal at local National League outfit Chesterfield until the 27th April.
Bennett made his first-team debut in August 2017 against Walsall in the EFL Cup, before a serious knee injury curtailed his progress.
The 22-year-old could make his Spireites debut against Halifax Town at The Shay on Saturday evening.
Bennett's switch to Derbyshire comes 24 hours on from the news that Rhys Norrington-Davies will spend the rest of the season with Tyler Smith at Barrow. Also out on loan from the development squad are Regan Slater (Carlisle United), Harvey Gilmour (Tranmere Rovers) and Sam Graham (Oldham Athletic).
