Jack O'Connell is relishing a return to the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday, exactly six years after making his senior debut whilst on-loan with the Millers.
And although the United defender only made five appearances under then Rotherham boss Steve Evans, he is looking forward to Saturday's Championship encounter between the two sides.
Looking ahead, he remarked: "I don't have too many memories of my time at Rotherham really, I only spent about a month there, but it will be nice to go back to the stadium.
"I'll always remember making my senior debut though, it was in midfield which was unusual, but getting forward is like second nature now."
O'Connell added: "My role is physically demanding, but my stats are really high, and I really enjoy the way we play. I'm covering around 11K per game, which for a centre-back is unheard of really.
"I really enjoy the physical side of the game and we're going to have to be at our best to keep Michael Smith quiet, I've played against him before and he's a real handful."
