"This is certainly the biggest derby for me, my pals, my family and everyone connected with this football club."
Those were Chris Wilder's words when asked what the Sheffield derby meant him personally.
Looking ahead to Friday's clash, the Blades boss continued: "We'll totally respect the talented individuals the opposition have got, we've not been sucked in to the talk of two or three not being ready, we've prepared to face them at their best with all their big hitters.
"Talk to any United or Wednesday supporter, this is our derby, this is the biggest one we're involved in."
Wilder added: "It's what we've brought up with throughout our lives, it's happened for over a century, there have been over a hundred games and it still means so much to everyone that's been a part of it in the past.
"It's not just about me or Billy (Sharp) who are local, it gets a grip of you, it's lively on and off the pitch, it's gets a grip of city, this is the derby for us."
