Blades bag a number of Star awards

It was a successful night for the club at the 12th annual Star Football Awards at the DoubleTree Hilton in Sheffield on Monday evening.

With boss Chris Wilder amongst those in attendance, United scoped the Team of the Year award, following an impressive return to the second tier of English football.

Mark Duffy was named the Blades Player of the Year, with David Brooks named the region's Young Player of the Year.

United's greatest ever player, Tony Currie was also in attendance and was understandably presented with the Derek Dooley Lifetime Achievement Award, as TC celebrated his 50th year of association with United earlier in 2018.

Meanwhile, United loanee Louis Reed, won Chesterfield's Player of the Year.
