A great season of sport and sponsorship has helped raise more than £7,000 for St Luke's Hospice.
Tajinder Singh of Totley Pharmacy is a vice president of Sheffield United as well as a keen supporter of Sheffield's only hospice. And with his support throughout last season, the Sheffield United family has been raising money for St Luke's.
"That support has come in many different ways, including match day collections, auction prize donations and trust gifts," said St Luke's Corporate Fundraising manager Jack Kidder.
"But Tajinder's tireless enthusiasm has also given us many more fundraising opportunities, including match day hospitality opportunities for our supporters and even the chance to launch a donation station at the Totley Pharmacy store, giving St Luke's even greater access to the community in Totley and Dore.
"The resulting £7,115 will make an enormous difference to the lives of St Luke's patients and their families and we look forward to continuing and developing our relationship with Tajinder, Sheffield United and also the McCabe family charity, namely The Scarborough Group Foundation, in the future."
Tajinder commented: "This partnership with St Luke's and the sponsorship of Sheffield United has been a great success. With the passion and loyalty Sheffield United generates, we have found this a great way of raising brand awareness, credibility and loyalty and generates broader coverage locally. It is also great for corporate social responsibility.
"The club as a whole and especially the commercial team have been very helpful; the partnership offers superb corporate hospitality and competition opportunities to generate further interest."
