Assistant boss Alan Knill is hopefully Jamal Blackman and Leon Clarke won't be sidelined for too long, after injury forced both off in the first-half during the victory at Reading.
Whilst Knill admitted both are now doubts for the weekend, he remains optimistic the duo could still feature against Burton at Bramall Lane.
He remarked: "Hopefully both are OK, it wasn't precautionary, but looking at them in the dressing-room after the game we don't think it's that bad.
"But it's part and parcel of football and we've got a squad capable of performing and if they miss out on Saturday or Tuesday it's an opportunity for others."
Knill concluded his thoughts on the win at the Madejski Stadium by adding: "We all know in this league you can't afford to drop your work rate or intensity because lots of teams round you will take advantage.
"We did that at Hull and got punished, but the players have answered that with a great performance.
