Dean Henderson says he can't wait to get started at Bramall Lane, having met his team-mates for this first time this week.
Speaking to the media following his season-long loan from Manchester United, the stopper outlined why he feels a season in South Yorkshire will help take his career to the next level.
Henderson remarked: "The Gaffer gave me a call the other week and sold the club to me, not that he really need to, pretty quickly.
"It's a big, big club, I'm delighted to be here and I genuine can't wait to get started. I was always coming back out on-loan, I have to be playing games for my continued development."
The loanee added: "I don't want to sit in my comfort zone, it's no good sitting there saying you are good enough, go out there and prove it, that's my principle.
"I'm confident, I'm ambitious and I believe I can reach the very top, that's way I'm here, to prove myself again.
"Sheffield United have a positive and ambitious manager who is so passionate and a big Blade himself. I've also heard some great things about Wardy, the goalkeeping coach too and I like what I see, so I'm sure he will help me progress further."
