Chris Wilder was happy to round off pre-season with a victory over Doncaster Rovers on Friday night and now Saturday's league opener against Swansea City at Bramall Lane firmly in his sights.
Speaking after an unbeaten pre-season was confirmed following a 2-0 victory at the Keepmoat, the Blades boss admits all his focuses are now on facing Graham Potter's side at the weekend.
He commented: "We've had different tests right the way through, Inter bossed possession at times on Tuesday and we had to defend well, whereas Doncaster are very much risk and reward.
"We experimented with a few bits, we had a peak at John (Egan) on the right of the back three and we played Ricky (Holmes) and Duffy.
"You have to try things in pre-season and we've learnt a lot throughout the last few weeks. It's been excellent and generally we've done very well."
Looking ahead, Wilder added: "The lads have all had the chance to impress, some have taken it more than others and it will be a long old season.
"It's tough start on Saturday and then games at Middlesbrough and QPR, but we want to improve on last year and we're still working extremely hard behind the scenes to strengthen.
"We're looking to improve and add to the squad but it isn't easy, everyone will see the speculation and the numbers flying about, but we've got to spend our money sensibly and wisely."
