Dean Henderson says his confidence and belief in his own ability will be crucial as he attempts to move a step closer to his major career goals, whilst with the Blades.
Speaking for the first time since penning a season-long loan at S2, the 21-year-old remarked: "I'm a very confident lad and I beleive in my ability as you have to in this game.
"I've grown up at Manchester United and if you are to play in front of 76,000 at Old Trafford you've got to be confident.
"You've got to have something about you to play for Manchester United and that comes from the club really, you have to back yourself to perform and I certainly do that."
Henderson added: "My long-term goal is to be Manchester United and England number one, that's my ultimate aim in the game, I've worked hard my whole life to get my dream move from Carlisle to Manchester United.
"You have to have plans to come and perform on-loan though and that's why I'm here. I'm here to battle for the starting shirt and I'd always back myself on the pitch.
"The greasy chip buty song is in my head and I can't wait to hear sung before the first game of the season at Bramall Lane."
