It can now be confirmed that David Brooks has left Bramall Lane, with the club receiving an undisclosed, club record fee from AFC Bournemouth for his services.

Brooks has completed a medical with Eddie Howe's Cherries and has now put pen-to-paper on a contract, having agreed personal terms with the south-coast club.

United moved last season to reward Brooks with a new long-term deal and had no intentions to sell. However, following changes to his representation, interest from the Premier League proved a key driver in the player wanting to make the move, with the Blades forced to negotiate the best possible transfer fee, plus additional clauses, including a sell-on percentage.

The three-time capped Wales international joined the Blades' SteelPhalt Academy in 2014, after being released from Manchester City. Brooks went on to make a total of nine starts in 30 Championship appearances for the Blades.
