Chris Wilder says his players should take great belief from Monday's point against Derby County.
Reflecting on the stalemate against the Rams, Wilder remarked: "When you look at the teamsheets against the likes of Derby and at Villa Park, then we should be nowhere near the situation we're in, but when we do believe we look a really good side.
"I've said to the players that sometimes I think I believe in them more than they do themselves, because we've got some really good footballers that want to play and improve.
"We're positive and fearless in our approach and we want to drive the game forwards, so hopefully we can kick on and enjoy the second-half of the campaign.
"We're in the Championship to pity ourselves against teams like Derby and we'll always have a real go, home and away."
With the transfer window now open and the FA Cup tie at Ipswich Town next on the agenda, Wilder added: "We're trying on a few fronts and we'd like to get people in to bolster the squad.
"But I'm going to make changes in the cup anyway, that's been on the record for a while.
"Our priority is the league campaign, especially with the next league game that's coming up!"
