United's three newest recruits are all hoping to play some part in Friday's steel city derby and the trio have been aware of exactly what the game means to the people of Sheffield.
Lee Evans commented: "What a game to be introduced to, if I'm lucky enough to play some part I can't wait to get stuck in.
"It's massive game, especially having won at Hillsborough earlier in the season.
"What an opportunity it could be, I'll be ready if called upon."
On-loan striker James Wilson added: "What a first game, the manager had a chat with us all, we're all pumped up.
"I've played at Anfield which is pretty hostile as an opposing player, but the atmosphere inside the ground will be unbelievable on Friday night."
And Ryan Leonard said: "I watched the first game on the television back in September. It sounded a great atmosphere and I'm guessing Friday under the lights will be even better."
