Chris Wilder was quizzed about a number of players on his books when he met the media ahead of the weekend's clash at Norwich City.
Mark Duffy, Ched Evans, Kieron Freeman and David Brooks all received a mention.
The United chief has made no secret of the fact that Duffy is in talks with regards to a new contract and commented: "There have been discussions between the club and Mark's agent.
"We've looked at all the contracts and it is only right that we look at his deal and we hope to get that over the line soon. Mark wants to stay and we wanted to get the Wednesday game out of the way."
Evans, Freeman and Brooks, meanwhile, have missed games of late due to injury and illness.
Striker Evans scored in an U23s game this week and Freeman and Brooks are back in training.
Wilder added: "Ched has played 30 minutes and is set for 60 minutes in an U23s game next week. Kieron is back out on the grass and so is David, by the end of the month they will be playing U23s game and all could be available next month."
