Lee Evans is pleased with his start to life at the Lane but insists there is much more to come.
The January addition has started the last two league matches in a holding midfield role and he has praised the infrastructure in place at the club for making it easy for new players to settle immediately.
He remarked: "The seamless transition is down to the manager and the boys, it's a great set of lads and you feel welcome straight away.
"In terms of the system it's one I know and understand, and the manager just wants me to go and play my natural game.
"For me, Ryan and James, Ricky too when he's in the team, you feel comfortable straight away and you can hit the ground running."
Evans added: "We deserved a point against Villa and were disappointed we lost the game so late, but we move on to Wolves now.
"I'm really enjoying things here so far and I will only get better with games and playing with the boys.
"I played in a Wigan team, who during the first part of the season enjoyed the majority of the ball, so it's a different type of fitness here, because it's a full on high press out of possession."
