John Fleck believes the Blades are well equipped to get back into play-off contention.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's lunchtime Yorkshire derby against Leeds United at the Lane, Fleck remarked: "The competition for places is great, most teams in this division have two or three players vying for each position, we're no different really.
"We've got a lot of midfielders, strikers and also defenders, some of which aren't even making the bench.
"Personally I don't worry about who is pushing me for a place in the team, I train hard everyday to try and impress the manager."
The Scottish midfielder added: "In the past we've maybe not had as many options as we have now and have played players out of position, obviously Bash gets moves about a lot.
"But we now have players able to play in their naturally positions and that's a big, big help."
