David Brooks played 45 minutes on his return to the first-team following a bad bout of glandular fever and Wilder acknowledged that was another positive to take from the game.
He added: "It's great to have David back he's a special player, but we have to be careful.
"People will have seen what he was like on the ball and going forward, but maybe not so much going the other way.
"Hopefully he is going to be available for the rest of the season now. He is exciting to watch and makes things happen, he'll certainly have a role to play."
