Chris Basham insists the Blades won't take a backwards step in their pursuit of a play-off place.

Speaking ahead of QPR's visit to Bramall Lane, United's number six remarked: "We need to take it a game at a time and look to win every game, hopefully we'll amass enough points in the final 15 matches.

"It's an exciting time for the players, the fans and everyone connected to the club, we couldn't have wished to have been in this position and we're determined to finish the job."

And Basham is optimistic about the Blades chances of making the top six, adding: "We've been in these big game situations in League One, we relish the pressure they bring. We've loved been in and amongst it this season, but we want to go that extra yard and get into the Premier League.

"I've been here for four years and it's been horrible at times when we've been struggling in League One, but the Gaffer brought and enthusiasm and determination into the club and we've not looked back.

"We play the 3-5-2 formation differently but really effectively. We play with the handbrake off and we've got players at the top of pitch that create chances and ones that scores goals."
