John Fleck felt United's fast start caught Bolton out in Saturday's success at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Reflecting on a third consecutive league win, that propelled the Blades to seventh spot in the table, Fleck acknowledged the showing over the Pennines was the Blades best to date this term.

He remarked: "It was a good day for us. The clean sheet was important, but we produced a very good performance, particularly in the first-half.

"The first 20 minutes we just ran over the top of them and got ourselves two goals in front, we maybe sat off a bit a 3-0, but it was a great three points."

Fleck added: "We knew what was coming from Bolton, we matched their hardwork and dealt with the long balls, but we really took a grip of the game early and it made it more difficult for them.

"The first effort I had from the corner was a great save really, I could have had another before I did eventually get my goal, so it was a pleasing day all round."
