Lee Evans says the Blades will head to The Riverside on Tuesday night with confidence, despite the opening day loss to Swansea City.
But the Welsh international anticipates another close encounter against Middlesbrough.
He remarked: "They didn't win on Saturday, but they came from 2-0 down at Millwall to get a point and that's always a tough place to go.
"We know it'll be another tough game, they all are in the Championship, but we go to Middlesbrough with plenty of confidence as we look to get something out of the game."
Evans added: "Tony Pulis is an experienced Premier League manager looking to put a stamp on his team, just like our manager is here, it'll be two good teams once again and probably another tight game.
"I do vaguely remember the game last April, so something similar would be ideal on Tuesday!
"Obviously they are nice memories for me personally, but Tuesday will be a completely different game and we are aware of that."
