United's U23s saw their tremendous Premier League Cup run come to an end with a semi-final defeat at current champions Swansea City on Friday night.
First half goals from Adnan Maric and George Byers followed by a Kenji Gorre strike in second half injury-time saw United fall to a defeat against the category one side at Landore.
The game's first chance produced the game's first goal just five minutes. MARIC got behind the Blades defence and his tame effort caught Eastwood out at his near post.
On 22 minutes Swansea went two ahead. Graham brought down James just outside the area and BYERS curled the subsequent free-kick into the top corner.
Minutes later a terrific save denied the hosts a third as a quick corner saw a low strike go through a crowd of bodies, but Eastwood was able to tip the ball onto the post brilliantly.
United's best chance of the half came with 40 minutes on the clock as a long pass from the back found Mallon through but Bender did well to smother the effort.
Eastwood was forced into action again early on in the second half as James was slipped in behind but the United stopper made himself big and came out of the one-on-one on top with a good save.
A golden chance came United's way midway through the second half as Smith chipped a cross into the centre of the box but Gilmour's header went inches wide of the far post.
The result was put beyond any doubt as GORRE picked up the ball on the left and cut inside to place past Eastwood in stoppage time.
