Chris Wilder insists the Blades will be going all out to beat Millwall on Saturday afternoon, as the race for the play-offs enters the home straight.

Speaking ahead of the weekend's clash against Neil Harris's Lions, Wilder remarked: "When the door opens we have to be ready to step through regardless of what season we're in and I always believe we'll improve.

"I want to be the manager of club that wants to progress, I don't want us to be a spike team, do well one season, struggle the next.

"We've brought in players who will improve with us and younger players who will benefit from Championship experience."

The United boss added: "My focus is on preparing the team to put ourselves in a position which would be an outstanding achievement and we're in there fighting.

"We're not taking a backwards step, we're moving forward and attacking teams. It's been an excellent season, I want us to make it a memorable one."
