Chris Wilder expects a typical Yorkshire derby against Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday lunchtime.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Wilder insists his side can't and won't underestimate the Tykes.
He commented: "We're always after a good, positive start. We never take a backwards step on purpose.
"We play on the front foot regardless of the opposition and we go after the opposition both home and away.
"We've watched Barnsley though and recently they've been unlucky. They could have beaten Fulham and they more than matched Bristol City and probably should have seen it out.
"Barnsley aren't getting beat 3-0 and 4-0 every week, this is a big game for them as they look to stay in the division."
The Blades boss added: "They've got enthusiastic and hungry players who are trying to carve a career out at Championship level, they're probably similar to us in that respect.
"They've got some good young players who are full of energy and they had a tremendous season last year before slipping away under Paul Heckingbottom.
"But regardless of what I say, or their manager says, it will be two teams desperate for the points for differ reasons."
