Mark Duffy described Sunday's 4-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough as a 'special day'.
Speaking in the aftermath of the clash at S6, the scorer of the Blades third goal remarked: "It was an unbelievable feeling in the dressing room afterwards, we knew how much it meant to the supporters, the Gaffer and Billy, but it meant a lot of everyone really.
"To go to Hillsborough and be so dominant and thoroughly deserved the victory is immensely pleasing.
"It was a whirlwind start and perhaps we should have been out of sight at half-time. We gave them a lift by conceding a poor goal right at the end of the first-half and that gave them belief."
Duffy added: "They equalised and it was game on at that point, but to regain the lead a minute later took the wind out of their sails and in the end we were comfortable having added a fourth.
"It was unbelievable scenes at times looking up to those fans on the top tier and it must go down as a special day for everyone associated with the club."
