Clayton Donaldson is hoping to repay the faith that has been placed in him by Chris Wilder.
Speaking for the first time since joining the Blades on deadline day last month, the experienced Championship marksman says he is looking forward to working under Wilder for a second time in his career.
The 33-year-old commented: "The manager has been terrific and I worked with him when I was much younger at Halifax Town.
"When a manager brings players in, you've got more of a chance of getting into the team and playing regularly because they are signing you to play.
"At Birmingham, I knew Harry (Redknapp) wanted to sign players and once he did then I knew I was slipping further down the pecking order, because he was going to play them straight away."
Donaldson added: "We've got some good strikers here, all have scored goals and are proven at what they do. Once you get training with each player, you quickly establish a partnership once you know their strengths and weaknesses.
"I have signed permanently and this is my club now. It is initially until the end of the year, but if I perform and contribute to the team and that's extended then that would be great."
