Cameron Carter-Vickers says he was pleased to make the most of the opportunity he was given at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.
The 19-year-old Spurs loanee netted what turned out to be the winning goal on his debut at the Macron Stadium and he says he was pleased to make a positive contribution.
Reflecting on his debut, the goal and a clean sheet, Carter-Vickers remarked: "It was fantastic to make my debut and for us to win the game, the goal was an added bonus really.
"I think I should have had a second though, that would have made it an unbelievable night personally, but I'm not complaining.
"The game was very physical, there were a lot of long balls and second balls that we had to deal with and we did it very well.
"But Jamal (Blackman), Jake (Wright) and Jack (O'Connell) helped me an awful lot, they were talking you through the game all the time and I am relishing the challenge.
"I don't mind a battle, I'm always confident and determined and I hope I showed the fans I'm capable of."
