David Brooks felt the Blades fully deserved to take Sunday's Steel City derby spoils.
Reflecting on just his second league start, which saw him win the Sky man of the match award, the 20-year-old was understandably delighted.
He commented: "Individually and as a team we were outstanding in what was a really big game. The fans played a big part and it was a fantastic result.
"We knew we had to start well and get on top of them. We had to get into out stride quicker than them, we did that and found ourselves 2-0 up after 15 minutes."
Brooks added: "Obviously when they got it back to 2-2 they had the momentum, but we didn't panic, we knew chances would come and to score a third almost from the kick-off wrestled the advantage straight back and we were pretty composed after that.
"I'm disappointed personally not to score, on another day I could have had a couple, but it doesn't really matter about me scoring when we won the game so convincingly."
