'We're on the march with Wilder's Army', Chris Basham says the players echo the fans sentiments at present.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday's trip to Bolton, the versatile and reliable performer says he always believed the success United are enjoying now would come around, after enduring some tough times earlier in his Blades career.
He remarked: "I have been through the worst of it during my time here under previous managers, but now like the chant goes, 'we're on the march with Wilder's Army' and that's how it feels in the dressing room.
"It's an amazing feeling, the boys are buzzing to be here and when I joined the club I knew this is what it could be like and it feels so good.
"We've come a long way, we've got the right management in and they have brought the right players in too."
Basham added: "You know the fans care so much when they do boo you, they wear their hearts on the sleeve and we are doing the same now and we're getting our rewards.
"At Sunderland, their fans turned on their players when we scored and it isn't nice, it isn't easy to play under that pressure, so it's nice for us that we don't have that anymore."
