David Brooks and Leon Clarke were singled out for praise from boss Chris Wilder over the weekend.
The duo were influential in Friday evening's 2-1 success over Leeds United, which lifted the Blades to the top of the Sky Bet Championship.
Brooks was introduced as a substitute and scored the winning goal. Wilder commented: "David finds a way to make an impact, we needed a sparkle at the top of the pitch. We are not hiding the fact that he's good player but he was due a goal.
"He caused them a different set of problems. The timing of his introduction was important and it raised our performance levels."
Of Clarke, who did not score but was a pest to the Leeds defence, Wilder added: "I think Leon is in the form of his life. He was outstanding, his performance deserved a goal.
"His all-round general play is excellent. Without being disrespectful to the skipper, Leon takes the responsibility of being the main man up there, he gives a focal point to play off."
