United's U23s returned to winning ways with a hard fought win over Bolton on Monday afternoon.
A Tyler Smith strike and an Oliver Greaves double saw the Blades to all three points at Stocksbridge.
Bolton were the quickest off the mark though as a long ball over the top found the forward through on goal forcing Eastwood into a great save, only for the rebound to be converted.
However, just a minute later the Blades restored parity with Hallam's flick on finding SMITH, who wriggled his way through and found the net at the near post with the aid of a deflection.
A hectic start continued when GREAVES fired home after a good turn inside the area which left him one on one following a Norrington-Davies pass in the ninth minute to put United ahead.
Eastwood would make his second terrific save of the day in the 23rd minute as an effort from six yards forced the goalkeeper to use his foot to poke the ball wide at the expense of a corner.
Bolton came very close to an equaliser as a clever flick from the number 10 saw the striker clean through but he couldn't keep composed as his shot flew over the bar from 18 yards.
The Blades lead was extended in the 44th minute as a throw down the line was picked up by GREAVES, who cut inside into the box and curled a beauty in off the under side of the bar.
After the interval Bolton got themselves back in the game with a well hit free kick from the left hand side finding the top corner giving Eastwood no chance of stopping it in the 57th minute.
The visitors would have the chance to level from the penalty spot 10 minutes later as Cantrill committed a foul in the area, but Eastwood would come to United's rescue with a great save down to his right.
Norrington-Davies had a great chance to make it four with 15 minutes to go as he met a corner from Gilmour at the back post but headed into the side netting.
