Jamal Blackman believes United's positive start to life back in the Championship has perhaps taken some people by surprise.
But the Chelsea loanee insists there is more to come from the Blades, who enter Saturday's clash against Ipswich Town in third place in the second tier.
The goalkeeper, who has started all 11 league matches to date, remarked: "It's been a great start to my loan spell and a fantastic experience for me personally, playing at this level.
"Everyone at the club have been so welcoming and to have started as we have has boosted the morale.
"People wondered what would happen have come up from League One, but we're here on merit, we're looking to compete and are where we are because of our performances and results."
Blackman added: "We aren't here to make up the numbers, we've just played our game and not worried about the big-name opponents we've faced.
"The Gaffer has put a game plan together, we're here to entertain, score goals and win matches and we have done so consistently."
