Enda Stevens believes the Blades have established a foothold in the division after a dozen matches.
Speaking ahead of the weekend's encounter with Reading with United third in the table, the left wing-back says the opening weeks of the campaign show the Blades are flying high on merit.
He commented: "We've earnt the respect of other teams in the Championship and they've no doubt done their homework and recognised how well we've been playing.
"It's a compliment to us when teams like Ipswich change their formation to face us, but we just focus on executing our game plan to try and win the match."
Stevens added: "Each man who steps out on to that pitch works their hardest, we all run our socks of and that's a demand from the manager and from each other.
"We're not looking beyond the next game and we just focus on the next game which is Reading on Saturday.
"Personally, I'm learning all the time and improving with every game. I'm enjoying my football and loving the run of form we're currently on."
