David Brooks insists he is keen to do is talking on the pitch rather than off.
The 20-year-old was speaking after putting pen-to-paper on a new and improved long-term contract with the Blades, that ties him to the club until the summer of 2021.
He remarked: "It's been a delightful couple of months personally, firstly with the Wales call-up, then signing a new contract with United and I'm absolutely delighted.
"The contract has been discussed for a couple of weeks now, so I'm just happy it's all be signed and I can concentrate on training hard and the forthcoming games.
"At the start of the season I wasn't even expecting to be here, it looked like I was off to Chesterfield, so I'm just pleased to have earnt those minutes on the pitch and hopefully we can continue the progression in the pitch."
And Brooks has praised his team-mates for how they've integrated him into the group behind the scenes.
He added: "I'm still looking for that first competitive goal for the Blades and that will be the next special moment, but I'm pretty chilled and the manager and players wouldn't let it go to my head.
"I'm not like that anyway, but they all help me immensely off the pitch and I'm grateful for that."
