Billy Sharp thought the Blades fully deserved their points haul from the Friday night encounter at the Pirelli Stadium.
"We were dominant in the first-half and I was delighted with the two goals and half-time lead.
"But credit to Burton in the second-half they've come out and given it a real go. We've defended well and resisted the pressure and then caught them on the break to score a third."
Sharp was also keen to share the plaudits with his teammates, who are scoring and creating chances all over the field.
"I get the headlines for the goals, but we attack as a team and defend from the front. We are a team, it's not about me or any other individuals.
"We just want to grind results out and keep progressing, things are really good at the moment and there is a lot to be positive about.
"As a team we're scoring goals and that's winning us matches, Duffy is disappointed not to score, but he was terrific again and Brooksy comes on and is disappointed not to hit the target to make it four."
The result was soured by a leg-fracture to midfielder Paul Coutts. The skipper was close to the incident: "Paul's injury obviously has taken the shine off the three points, the lads are gutted for him.
"It looked a bad knock and I was just trying to keep him still because he was rolling round in agony. He will be a big loss to us but hopefully the diagnosis is better than we fear."
