Sheffield United Ladies returned have returned home having enjoyed a successful first ever trip overseas.
With the aim of the trip to Jersey to build the brand and image of United's Ladies team, the Blades were 2-1 victors against a Jersey FA XI, on a bitterly cold night on the island.
First-half goals from skipper Rosa Neary and Jen Pearson were enough to claim morale boosting victory, on a weekend where the ladies proved to be perfect ambassadors for the club.
The trip was to reciprocate a trip Jersey Ladies made to Sheffield in April.
Jersey were preparing for Island Games and an historical fixture was organised at Bramall Lane when the result was also 2-1 to the Blades.
The Jersey FA are also currently in the process of trying to gain UEFA recognition.
