Enda Stevens believes there were plenty of positives to take from Tuesday's game against Fulham, despite the defeat.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's televised clash with Birmingham City at Bramall Lane, the left wing-back remarked: "The game on Tuesday didn't go to plan at all, but we fought until the very end.
"We gave it our best shot, but unfortunately, we came up just short. We got it back to 5-4 and with Big Jimmy (Hanson) out there is always a chance of one dropping for you.
"But it just wouldn't fall for us and we ran out of time having huffed and puffed."
Stevens added: "We're gutted to have lost, but we scored four goals and Leon got another hat-trick.
"His form is unbelievable, anything he hits seems to go in the net and his work rate for the team is fantastic too.
"We try to make teams uncomfortable from the front, they set the tone and help us get up the pitch.
