Elite Ladies Football Academy

9 March 2017

Sheffield United are looking to start an 'Elite Ladies Football Academy' as part of the club's continuing work to promote and develop ladies football.

A course, which will be based at the SteelPhalt Academy at Shirecliffe, will begin in September, providing learning and coaching on a daily basis.

The course is aimed at school leavers, with girls studying towards a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport alongside daily training sessions with UEFA licensed coaches, with a competitive games programme also to be included.

The club are looking to bridge the gap between the U16s Regional Training Centre programme to the ladies first-team by creating a pathway which is hopefully going to enhance the club's push towards the WSL.

On Wednesday 15th March an open event will take place at Shirecliffe, which will give you a further insight into the course.
