Chris Wilder is encouraged by the business he has already completed and he is confident of more in the coming weeks and months.
Ched Evans, Enda Stevens, Nathan Thomas and George Baldock have all arrived in time to begin pre-season with the Blades and Wilder insists work behind the scenes hasn't stopped all summer.
He commented: "It's been relentless since the end of the season. We had our celebrations, we enjoyed them and savoured the moment, but thoughts quickly moved on to this season and the challenge in front of us.
"You have to be ready and move quickly, we've made some decent signings and we're in the market for more.
"We're light in a couple of positions, that's obvious and we're looking to strengthen further. We've got to make some good decisions this summer and my record since I came here has been good in that respect."
Wilder added: "I've been given a budget and I will work hard to maximise it. We've got a couple of bids out there which have been well documented.
"I won't change direction in our approach, I treat the owners' money with respect like it's my own and I want good value in all deals, but that doesn't mean we aren't competitive."
