New signing George Baldock is already working out in the gym ahead of reporting for pre-season with his Blades team-mates.
The defender became Chris Wilder's fourth signing of the summer on Tuesday, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal after an undisclosed fee with MK Dons was agreed.
And he's revealed that he cannot wait to begin his Blades career and is already working hard prior to the squad returning to Shirecliffe later this month.
Baldock commented: "I can't wait to get started. I'm working hard in the gym in preparation and I'm looking forward to meeting up with the lads.
"I knew of United's interest for a while and I think the clubs started talking at the end of the season. The move didn't take much selling to me, the manager's record in recent seasons speaks for itself and I bet there is a buzz around the place because the team were by far and away the best in League One last season."
The 24-year-old, who has played in the Championship for MK Dons, is predominantly a right full-back and added: "I'm an all-action full-back, I like to get into the final third and join the attacks when possible.
"First and foremost I need to work hard to get a place in the squad but it is clear that the full-backs are a massive outlet in United's system, the position has a lot of responsibility and you are almost a winger at some points, but there's work to be done defensively too.
"It is the sign of a good squad if there is competition all around the park and I hope I can add to the competition down the right side."
Baldock played 42 times for MK Dons last season, which included both games against United. He is the fourth new arrival of the summer following the signings of Ched Evans, Nathan Thomas and Enda Stevens.
