A new Blades book is on the shelves - reliving the memorable the 2016-17 season when United romped to the Sky Bet League One title and also reached the 100-points milestone.
Skipper Billy Sharp provides the words and the captions for the 116-page coffee-table style book, which has hundreds of photos from a memorable campaign, including a number of unseen images from the players.
Boyhood Blade Sharp had a memorable season personally, captaining the team and scoring 30 goals en route to the title. He has now completed the campaign by fronting a publication that will be help Unitedites remember a truly remarkable campaign. After the celebrations subsided, he composed himself to relive it all again, providing his own captions and own spin for fans to enjoy.
United's media officer, Kevin Cookson, who assisted Sharp with the book, commented: "The idea for the book came from Chris Wilder, who wanted to a lasting memento for the players. It was then that we thought it would be a worthwhile for the captain to write the captions and it worked out perfectly.
"Billy was up for the challenge and following a few long days in front of a monitor, the end product is now available for everyone to see. Billy tackled this project with the same enthusiasm he takes on to a football pitch and the end result is a publication that Blades fans will want to remember a fantastic campaign."
