The Blades are set to host a local rock band with all the proceeds being donated to a worthy charity.
Sheffield's 'Thor - Gods of Rock' will play United's Platinum Suite on Saturday 29th July, with all proceeds being donated to the UK Solidarity Fund, which has recently been set up and is administered by the Red Cross, where funds raised will go to people and families affected by terrorist attacks in the UK, such as recent incidents in Manchester and London.
United and Stoke City have already confirmed that £1 from every ticket sold for this month's pre-season friendly at Bramall Lane will be donated to the UK Solidarity Fund.
And now 'Thor - Gods of Rock' will boost funds further with an exclusive Bramall Lane gig. Just 350 tickets are available and the Sheffielders promise a rocking show.
They say: "We were formed in February 2014, in the same way as all of the great bands...in a pub, over a beer, 'Thor - Gods Of Rock' bring an arena show to the local venues of the North of England.
"You can forget the run of the mill, jeans and black tee shirt performances. 'Thor - Gods Of Rock' give a high octane, high energy show, complete with capes and costumes! These guys will be on the stage, on the tables, in the crowd, on the bar, nowhere is out of bounds.
"With a constantly changing set list made up of songs from some the world's greatest rock bands there's something for every true rocker! With hits from the likes of Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Queen, Poison, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin and Journey (amongst others) in the vast repertoire, there's something for everybody."
Tickets for the show on Saturday 29th July go on sale on Monday (10th July). Doors open at 8pm, there will be a rock DJ and a late bar. Tickets cost £10 and are available from the SUFC Ticket Office, via telephone on 0114 253 7200 or online at bit.ly/2sLoVNF
