James Hanson is 'enjoying' himself in the Spanish sunshine and has been proving his worth in the running stakes.
The marksman remarked: "It's a bit different to what I'm used to. I was with Phil (Parkinson) at Bradford City for five or six years, so you get used to a certain type of pre-season.
"Everything is intense here, it's shorter than what I've done previously, but it's harder work.
"Speaking from experience you have to enjoy the work you do, you have to challenge yourself as an experienced professional and make sure you push the younger lads."
Hanson often leads from the front on the pitch and also off it, something that perhaps has surprised a few of his team-mates.
He added: "I am a strong runner, I enjoy the straight line running in particular. It's something I've always enjoyed and at Bradford I used to lap people as I was put in the slowest group to begin with!"
