Blades attitude impresses boss

28 July 2017

Boss Chris Wilder believes his squad is 'ready' for the competitive action to get underway.

Speaking after Friday's success at Eastleigh, which saw United make it six wins from six in pre-season, Wilder remarked: "It was a night to test our attitude and I knew it would be. We were playing against some experienced professionals with plenty of league experience and they wouldn't want to get run over.

"We knew it would be physical, but the attitude of the players throughout pre-season has been fantastic and we've beaten everything that has been put in front of us."

The Gaffer added: "We want to build on team and club on the fact that our attitude never changes, there weren't any questions about what we were doing down there despite it being a very long day.

"I fully expect our attitude to be bang on again when the first whistle is blown on Saturday.

"We're up a level this season, but we've had an excellent pre-season and we're ready."
