Jamal Blackman is looking forward to spending the 2017/18 campaign with United in the Championship.
The imposing Chelsea stopper penned a season-long deal with the Blades on Thursday evening and is set to feature at Eastleigh on Friday night.
And Jamal can't wait to get started, remarking: "I'm really looking forward to playing for such a big club and getting out there and showing people what I'm about.
"As a player growing up, you need to get as much experience as possible. Obviously for a goalkeeper it's that bit more difficult because you are always competing for that one position, but I'm lucky to have this opportunity."
The 23-year-old added: "I spoke to the manager and had a good chat with him, he spoke to Chelsea and obviously things have been happening.
"I have been sorting out my new contract at Chelsea and once that was sorted this move followed.
"My aim is to come here and play as many games as possible to make sure when I go back I'm a better goalkeeper."
