Speaking after Tuesday's victory over Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium, Chris Basham says he is delighted to have committed his future to the Blades for the next two seasons.
Along with skipper Billy Sharp, Paul Coutts and Kieron Freeman, Basham signed his new deal at Bramall Lane, prior to the 2-1 victory over the Spireites.
He remarked: "Staying at this club and getting as high as possible something I always wanted and we're on that ladder and upward curve now.
"I had four years with the club in League One and now a further two to look forward to at a higher level, so I'm buzzing."
Basham added: "The Gaffer wanted all four boys to commit and we have done, it's took a while, but everyone is focused on the future now.
"These things can take time with the different people that are involved throughout the process, thankfully we've all put pen-to-paper."
