Joe Riley is determined to repay the faith that the Blades have put in the Manchester United youngster.
The 20-year-old joined the Blades on-loan for the rest of the season on Tuesday and admits he is excited to be spending a prolonged stint at Bramall Lane.
On his move to South Yorkshire, the versatile defender remarked: "For the last few weeks I've been in contact with Sheffield Untied and the manager has shown a lot of interest in me which obviously boosts your confidence as a player.
"I really wanted to get out this month, to expose myself to first-team football.
"When you hear about Sheffield United you have to stand up and take notice, it is a massive club and an ambitious one too.
Riley added: "I'm delighted to be here until the end of the season and I can't wait to get started.
"This will be a big part of my development and it will even be more beneficial to do it here."
