Chris Wilder says he will continue to make 'brave' decisions in a bid to be successful.
Speaking after recalling Simon Moore to the starting XI in place of Jamal Blackman for the game against Bristol City, the boss explained his thinking.
He commented: "I just thought Jamal needed to come out of the firing line. We've spoken to him and will continue to do so, but it is up to him to get his standards back up.
"Simon has trained well, we felt it was right to recall him. I'm here to make decisions and I won't just look for the easy ones."
Wilder added: "I might make mistakes, should I have kept Billy up top against Millwall, I look back with hindsight and perhaps I should, but I make brave decisions both in terms of selection and tactics with the right intentions.
"We manage positively, it hasn't served us too badly in the last 16 or 17 months."
