Chris Wilder was understandably delighted as United returned to winning ways with a resounding 3-0 success over Sunderland on Boxing Day.
A smiling boss remarked: "I enjoyed that and hopefully everyone inside Bramall Lane did, because I thought we were excellent and full value for the win.
"Apologies for a couple of expletives that came out of my mouth towards the end, but I wanted us to get the right scoreline too.
"It was the right result certainly, we dominated from start to finish and got three different scorers, but to get a clean sheet was what we deserved the most."
Wilder added: "It was a fantastic turn out from the supporters and they saw what a committed group we are.
"We worked our socks off and played some decent stuff too, people can talk about the opposition, but we got into them and ran straight over them.
"We've played well at home all season, we should have beaten Birmingham and Bristol City and we had to make sure our performance was backed up with a result.
"The preparation was outstanding, the staff, not me, deserve a lot of credit. We came in on Christmas night and did everything possible to enable us to produce the goods, thankfully we did."
