Leon Clarke is targeting more goals in 2018, having penned a new deal at Bramall Lane on Friday
The Sky Bet Championship's top scorer has been rewarded with an improved contract until the summer of 2020 after netting 14 goals during the first-half of the season.
But the 32-year-old isn't getting ahead of himself and remarked: "I don't personally set targets, but as a striker you always want to get to double figures.
"Once you get to 10 you don't further set targets, but they just seem to flow much easier and each one adds to your tally.
"We've got some quality strikers here, all of whom bring different attributes and qualities to the team.
"Clayton is very similar to myself, we both try and stretch the game. Billy is a team player and a fox in the box and Brooksy is just an exceptional talent and a bit of wildcard because his ability is that good."
Clarke added: "The manager obviously trusts me because he's picked me regularly, but whoever plays is more than capable.
"It's been a proud moment to have captained this historic and proud team. It's not something I've been used to, I captained Coventry for about 20 games, but it doesn't affect me and I just play my normal game."
