George Baldock says he has 'never seen a more together squad', than the one he is part of at Bramall Lane.

That comes after the players enjoyed their Christmas party last weekend, with a number of fancy dress costumes catching the eye.

Baldock revealed: "The skipper came up with the idea of coming as a double act with whoever you room with on away trips.

"So I was Harley Quinn and John Lundstram as The Joker was my other half. Amongst others we had Mike and Sully and a foxy Cleopatra and Goldmember, which was my favourite to be honest.

"It is some team spirit here. Everyone was together throughout the trip away and I've never seen a more together squad.

"Our spirit and togetherness shows on the pitch too, we put our bodies on the line for each other and the good of the team."

Back to footballing matters, Baldock says confidence is high ahead of forthcoming trips to Deepdale and Villa Park, adding:
"We're not panicking about recent results. If we keep producing performances like we did against Bristol City, the points will come.

"Preston and Villa are two good teams and will be tough away fixtures, but we're a match for anyone on our day and we're confident of getting a result."
