Chris Wilder believes the Blades will only get better with games, as the players continue to adapt to life back in the Championship.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday's trip to Wales to face Cardiff City, the United manager remarked: "We're learning all the time. We know teams will come to Bramall Lane and have a go like Brentford did and we know we're going to face plenty of quality opposition.

"We've got to be a bit more street wise in our play and the players have been told that. I don't want us to spend our time throwing ourselves down, but it is a more street wise division and we have to adapt pretty quickly.

"It is a learning process, but we will get on with it. We've wanted to be in this division for the last six years, so we'll come through it I'm sure."

Wilder added: "This is the minimum of where we want to be, it's the minimum of where I want to be as a manager and the players will only improve at this level.

"Ched got some more minutes at Middlesbrough and Mark Duffy was excellent too, so it's in our thought process to change things round."
